Blefaroplastía
Endoscópica
In 1995 Dr. Pinta began to use in Argentina the technique called ENDOLIFTING or "Endotemporo-Midface Lift", which corrects the signs of aging in the upper and middle thirds of the face.
Endolifting may be accompanied by Endoscopic Blepharoplasty, a technique which repositions tissues instead of suspending them. In this way, it is possible to avoid the usual deformities observed in patients that have been operated on using the conventional techniques which, on the other hand, cannot prevent tissues from sagging again a short time after the procedure is performed.
Dr. Pinta has many well-documented cases of patients of different ages (ranging from 27 to 82 years old) evidencing excellent results.
The following images below show the difference between the conventional technique (photos on the left) and the endoscopic technique (photos on the right) in the same patient 15 years after the relevant procedure was performed.
Conventional Blepharoplasty
Endoscopic Blepharoplasty
This technique has also the advantage of ensuring the patient a short recovery period as compared with the conventional techniques, since there are no long incisions, skin resection or tension scars. Seven days after the patient undergoes the plastic surgery procedure, all stitches are removed and the patient can go back to their daily routine.
General anesthesia is seldom necessary. An anesthesiologist will be in charge of putting the patient under sedation. This may induce the patient to sleep but there will be no need for assisted ventilation. Dr. Pinta will use a local anesthetic to numb the areas subject to surgery, just as if the patient were at the dentist’s. In this way, the whole procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.
It is important to underline that Dr. Pinta uses special endoscopic fixation sutures (please visit www.silhouettesutures.com. He is a scientific consultant in relation to these sutures and an instructor at the annual courses in endoscopic surgery given by Nicanor Isse, M.D., in Los Angeles. Dr. Isse created the endoscopic technique in 1992 and has been Dr. Pinta’s direct teacher (please visit . www.epses.com. |
